TIP: Along with the TrailDamage.com links below, we bought ATV Trails Guide - Moab, UT by Charles A. Wells and found it very helpful.
Although I already knew the area, this helped us find ATV/UTV specific trails and their rating so we could pick an appropriate difficulty level for our first trip ever. It is a nice glovebox size with spiral bound water resistant pages.
There are 24 pics on this page broken up into 3 trail areas.:
- Pics 1-9 pics are of the Picture Frame Arch trail to Prostitute Butte, then on Kane Creek Canyon Rim trail (that's above it on the RIM!) to Pritchett Arch, aka the Pritchett Arch trail from the southeast side (NOT the gonzo abusive Pritchett Canyon trail from the NW (river) side).
- Pics 10-17 are in the Monitor and Merrimac Buttes area.
- Pic 10 is above Cotter Mine road off of Hwy 191 (N. of 313), along the very start of the SevenMile Rim trail only up to the top of the butte to where you can see all directions. You can see Klondike Bluffs in the background.
- Pic 11 is the sandy road from the NE that heads SW to Monitor and Merrimac Buttes. Fun in the UTV, not so much on motos though!
- Pics 12-13 shows Determination Towers. The section from here to Tusher Tunnel is very fast windy sandy berms and washes, especially fun in the UTV!
- Pics 14-15 shows Tusher Tunnel.
- Pics 16-17 are around the south side of Courthouse Rock.
- Pics 18-24 are all out Sand Flats Road:
- Pics 18-19 are of Baby Lion's Back, the short hill near the parking lot for the SlickRock Bike Trail. I never did Lion's Back back in the day and this one is nowhere near as bad but was my first introduction to anything this steep in the UTV!
- Pics 20-24 are the south side then north side of Fins 'N Things.
