Like Scott told me my first day in Thailand: "7-Eleven's are the financial backbone of Thailand"!

7-11's always have phones, cold refreshments, ATMs nearby and are often the only place around that has air conditioning! I heard you can even order an airline ticket over the telephone and pay for it at a 7-11. Plus the familiar purple and gold colored ATMs of the Siam Commercial Bank.
